I'm used to the visa gc's that chase was selling fee-free.  Those can be loaded onto BB.

In most cases, anyplace I can use a gc, I could use a cc instead.  So why buy a gc?

When I use AP, I use the credit card directly. 
The only benefit of spending on a gc and then using it for AP is that you create another 'cc' (no overlapping cc's between sender and recipient).
a) what do you use as the billing address?  just make something up? name, too?
b) haven't there been reports of AP starting to close some accounts because of this?

AP is limited to $1000/month... if you need to meet a spending threshold (especially on several cards) then this makes it alot easier

You don't need to save the offer to your account as AMEX is not giving you back anything anyway. Also you can buy these AMEX gift cards with any bank's credit card, not just AMEX. You're allowed to purchase up to $5,000 at a shot. 5,000 points for only a shipping charge of $8.95 sounds like a great offer. The million dollar question now is what to do with these cards...
