This is what Google Wallet looked like:

Do you have more than 1 Google account on your phone? Make sure you downloaded it from the same account you have the credit on.

Maybe the problem is
I selected Google wallet, and it opened a browser window with the Google wallet site.

Maybe try clearing the "launch by default"s on your browser?

On my old phone it also opened a browser window starting with the recent updates. I think it has to do with which android version your on and which whatsapp version you have.

I tried that, and it just asked which browser to open with. Play store was not one of the choices.

I don't see why it should make a difference here. Software doesn't work because it checks for root. Whatsapp works even if you're rooted, so why should it make a difference when you want to pay with Play Store credit?

I see rusty brick has a pricy vestos calendar. I also see a free one keminhag chabbad and a few other free ones...

Anyone know of a good reliable one, minhag Ashkenaz and preferably with haskomos or something?

Also what's the rabbinic restriction against auto calculating the days?

I would think that using a tool to keep track like a calendar is fine. It's not sefiras haomer..

I'm surprised you forgot about this. After all, you commented on it:
A free vestos app for android according to litvish minhagim.
And Rabbinical restriction could just mean his Rabbi told him not to do it, but not that's it's a real issur.

According to the website " this calendar does not automatically calculate which days you are not pure. We asked several Rabbinical authorities and they all suggested that we do not add this feature in, due to the obligation for women to track this by hand."
