Not what I said. Learn to read. I said I don’t like comparing current to retired players. So there is no simple GOAT (unless you define GOAT to exclude active players).

My take is LBJ is threatening Jordan’s legacy but hasn’t yet surpassed it.

Also, if LBJ were to retire today, I probably wouldn’t consider him as GOAT. But I think, unlike mike, he has more gas left in his tank.
Do you realize MJ was 34 when he won his sixth title? How old is Lebron now, 33?
I would love to see Lebron play when he is 39-40 and see what numbers he puts up in those years.

Yes, which doesn’t contradict what I said above.

And how many games did he have under his belt by then?

I was just pointing out you feel MJ is better than LeBron at this point in time. That is what I was talking about when I said "ask EJB".

I would think LBJ had a lot more NBA games under his belt, no?

Imo that’ll be his legacy. He’s been dominant for so many years and games. 13 years is good but not unheard of. Not many players have dominated the nba for 18 years. Maybe one or two

That legacy will not win anyone GOAT. Not sure what you mean by dominating the NBA. If you dominated the NBA you should win MVP.

I disagree. He’s won mvp several times, been all nba first team since 2006-7, and has been in the mvp conversation all but his rookie year. Several of the years that he didn’t win he had the most impressive and impactful season - perhaps the voters didn’t want the same person to win so many times (Eg when D Rose won). What player has the most 1st team selections?

That sounds like sour grapes. You don't honestly believe he has been the best player in the league every year, do you?

No, but he’s won 4 mvps, has been in the top 3-4 voting almost every year, and looks to be in the top 3 this year as well. He already has tied for the most 1st team selections - likely to be the most in June. Who else has done that for so long? Though Antetokounmpo is knocking on his door and I wouldn’t be shocked if he and KD get 1st team next year

I am not disagreeing with what you said in this post. When you claim he dominated NBA every year that I take issue with. He could not dominate GS so how in the world could he dominate the whole league?

He did dominate GS. Watch the series again or look at the stats if you’re too lazy. Who else has averaged a triple double in a playoff series let alone an nba finals, especially in efficient shooting.

He isn’t enough to beat GS, who has 4 all stars on their rotation. The other players need to step up as well.

I don't need stats when I watch the games. Do you consider KL and Kyrie all stars?

Kyrie, for sure. Love, this year has been. Last year, not really and against gs he’s always played poorly.

The Cavs lost twice to GS in the past 3 years. The case could be made for a LBJ finals mvp all three of those years, especially the first year when they had to find a bench player to give it to because GS had no consistent force. So yes - he has dominated GS.

Are you serious LBJ should have won the MVP over Durant last year?

Last year makes sense. 2015, less so, which is what I said.

Durant was MVP last year hands down. There is no case to be made for LBJ.

Lbj had a great finals - first ever to average a triple double in one. I wouldn’t give him the mvp since they lost the series and Durant was also spectacular w around 35ppg and many clutch plays down the stretch. But the case can be made. I think had the Cavs won but the stats were the same lbj would have gotten it.

2015, however, is a different story.

And all three years, lebron dominated even the warriors. There’s no doubt about that.

At least we are having an honest discussion now but you are looking through rose colored glassed. Wasn't 2015 when he had a horrendous shooting finals?
