Citi in NY pulls from either Equifax or Experian or both. YMMV even by the same person.

If you live in NJ or NY, you should freeze your Experian. They will only pull Equifax then. Otherwise, YMMV.

FOR MORE INFO, READ FT'S WIKI - IT IS PHENOMENAL, FT WIKI

Quote from the above mentioned FT WIKI:
For the most part, freezing Experian, or another bureau, will not cause Citi to pull a different bureau. They will almost certainly require you to unfreeze the bureau they wish to pull or deny your application. Some people have been successful providing the PIN but others have not. Mostly, freezing a credit bureau in an attempt to force Citi to pull a different one seems to waste time, money, and effort for little result. But YMMV.

DDF data points (As of 10/2015)
NY- pulls both EQ/EX, can still get instant approval with EX frozen
CA, OH, PA, TX- ONLY EX. Citi will refuse to pull other bureau

Benefits:..
New no forex fees starting Nov.'15

From FT Wiki:"Important exception: If you receive a Platinum World MC which is later converted to a World Elite MC (as indicated on the back of the card), the opening of that card will no longer count for purposes of the 18-month rule. This is true not only for conversions in early 2015, but also for those in more recent months.
Note: It makes no difference when (or whether) you activate the World Elite card. If you have the WE card in hand, then the conversion on Citi's books is already complete. There is nothing magical about activating it.
There are a few reports that some Gold World MC are being converted to Gold World Elite MC and that will no longer count for purposes of the 18-month rule."
UPDATE: As of 02/18/2016 (for applications after 02/09/2016), the W>WE loophole may be dead.

Hi all, I'm new to this game. I have two questions and I'd appreciate simple answers.

1) if I currently have the regular Citi AA CC (applied last summer), would they approve me now for the 100k offer?

2) can I apply for two of the 100k offers in one shot? If not, how long do I have to wait between applications?

Thanks in advance

Just wanted to report, don't know if this happened to anyone else. Applied for the Citi A.A. and got declined. I got the letter in the mail saying that it was pulled from Equifax an I was entitled to a copy. Got the copy online and it looked pretty good. E.g. they told me credit utilization percentage was too high, but the c.r. said just %11.  So I forwarded the whole c.r. to Citi and waited a couple of days. I called recon, nothing doing. Rep said that even though they got the c.r., they didn't get the actual score, and since the application was declined because of the score, they can't change it. HUCA'ed like 6 times, until finally got transferred to a guy Levi (I think he was Jewish!) who said I was approved for 8.5k! Moral of the story: Don't give up, HUCA and DROPR until you get the right one! :D 8)

Ah, the old "can I" vs. "may I" bit?

As much as I hate to say it, I think "can I" was appropriate in this instance.
