TU on the More card.

I believe it is TU on all the Discover cards.

My CU offered to send my FICO score each month. They say it is from Experian. How can I tell if it is legit or FAKO? (I don't have Discover yet)

BTW, it is 727 - kind of low? Ok? Not bad but nothing to write home about?

I have a question that may seem dumb to some of you, but please bear with me. I recently had my father add me as an AU on his Amex platinum that's been open since 1997. It just showed up on my experian credit report as having been opened this month. I had thought that if you're added to an old card, it's shows up on the credit report that you opened it when the account holder did. Can someone explain this please?

Backdating for AU's has stopped (year+) AFAIK. Backdating for adding another Amex card to your collection should work. You can call to get the AU backdated but it is not easy. I am sure some members must have some recent data points.

Just got an email from Barclays that my score (TU) went up. I checked it , and it's now 771. Not a bad jump in 6 weeks. :)

If I'm added as an AU to an established user, does it make a difference if I have my own Amex account/cards or no account with them yet? ( in the past when Amex regularly backdated, did this factor affect the backdating at all?)
In other words, if I added myself as an au to an old account after having amex cards of my own would my account be backdated or no?

How do you keep track of your FICO throughout the year? I have used the free trial already and would like to monitor my hard pulls.

Any advice?

If you are willing to pay $  there is a great service with Wells Fargo Identity Theft Protection Program.  The first month only $1 and you can cancel or continue paying $15/mo.  You get one free credit report per month and they email you any positive or negative changes in your score as they happen.

The best part for beginners is their analysis (pages) of pros and cons of your report.  There is also a simulator that projects what your score would be if you did A or B.

Not sure, but 733 is not that high.
