Did you ship with signature confirmation?

If he says not received, and it shows delivered, Paypal will take the hit (IIRC)

Do you have any correspondence with him, that he stated he got it, but doesn't want it?

Yes I did with fedex direct signature. He didn't get it yet,  was only shipped this morning.  Can't he deny shipment? Should i correspond back on the PayPal case he opened,  he wrote he wants refund as no cd drive.  However it shows in listing that it doesn't have.

He could refuse the package.

Whats the big deal accepting the return if it wasn't even opened?

Why not offer him a return less shipping?

I recently accepted a "best offer" on a product, and afterwards the guy messages me that someone else actually already accepted a lower offer of his so he doesn't want. Whats the quickest/ easiest way to just "undo" the transaction, making sure I don't have to pay ebay any fees on the sale that won't actually happen?
TIA

Go to resolution center and click that you both agree to cancel order and write why.

Thanks. In general whenever both parties agree and it's resolved that way, the seller doesn't get charged the fee? Or only if they approve of the reason why we agreed to cancel?
(I have another case where we agreed not to cancel b/c the buyer wanted me to ship it to Sri Lanka)

If you both agree then there won't be an eBay fee.

Yesterday I bid on a Galaxy S3, and was outbid. Today I got a message from the seller saying:

Hello! You recently bid on a galaxy S3 in pebble blue that I had for sale, but were outbid by one other member at the end. It turns out that the member has been suspended and is no longer an active user. If you would like to continue and complete the transaction I would be happy to set up a private buy it now auction for your last bid of 176. please let me know if you would like to proceed. Happy holidays!

I tried finding the original listing to see who bought it, but I get an error that the listing has been removed. The seller has 199 feedback, 100%, 11 in the last 12 months. Is there anything to be suspicious about?

I personally wouldn't purchase anything outside of eBay.

Read it again. It sounds like they want to set up a private listing on eBay.
