When leaving egypt you need an exit stamp and (currently) they give you those in the arrivals hall.
The hilton is usually cheap or 5,000 hilton points.
Everyone knows your jewish.
The casinos use USD and have exchange places in them.

Yes.The one in the ice mall was Rabbanut Eilat Mehadrin when I was there. There was a guy handing out coupons for it on the bridge connecting the hotels to the beach and he kept screaming out that it was Rabbanut Mehadrin. (And, yes, I obviously did not just rely on him but checked the hashgacha.)
I was there 3 weeks ago. It was one hundred percent Beit yosef. They call it mehadrin but its Beit Yosef Mehadrin.

I was there a year ago, things can definitely have changed.
Anyway, is Bet Yosef not good? I thought it was on my Yeshiva's recommended list, but that was 5 years ago, so again, things could have changed.

So it isn't better to have 2 hechsherim instead of 1?

He's not saying its worse because it also has rabbanut mehadrin. Just that having one hechsher doesn't remove option of having another

It was a Chareidi Rabbi that gave me my list, but I might not be remembering it correctly.

r emkay can u explain your approach to Kashrus and what is reliable (or link to it)? Do u really believe that rabbanut mashgichim can't be trusted to enforce the standards for mehadrin they follow yet certain badatz's mashgichim for some reason can?
As an aside, by making these conclusions you are essentially dissing so many shabbos-observing God loving Jews as people who don't keep kosher and rely on unreliable hashgachos (and during Elul! :)). Can't u see that they have grounds for what they do, and you have grounds for what you do?

There are  way too many points in here to address for me to do it properly at once.
1) my approach is that if they have a chasaka of properly following the rules of the masgiach, and the masgiach of the agency and the agency of listening to the halacha, then its good enough for me.
2)that is assuming there is a mashgiach temidi. Either way, technically yes
3) unreliable doesn't equal not kosher. And I wasn't dissing them. They are likely not at fault, they are depending on their local authority or the fact that "everyone eats there".

Here's the deal, you research and find a place in Jerusalem area that you hold of and I don't. We each give $1000 escrow to a middleman. If I can't get an an obvious transgression of halacha on video you keep my money otherwise I take yours.

Sorry to take this off topic but i recently heard about  someone selling esrogim grown in eilat for 1800 shek a piece. Is that considered outside E"Y for shmita purposes?

1) so your saying that rabbanut does not have a chazaka of properly following the rules of its head mashgiach? Or is this something about restaurants not following?
I happen to not eat basic rabbanut but I generally hold of rabbanut mehadrins.
As to catching mistakes, there have been scandals at plenty of restaurants and stores with generally accepted good hashgachos, I'm sure one can catch mistakes just like u may catch them at your aunt's house when u visit for a meal. But that doesn't mean u should never leave your home and shecht your own chickens like a brisker. An independent hechsher is just a check on the fear that the owner/manager will let short-term money considerations get the better of him, providing a general assumption that what u will eat will follow the standards they require and check up on regularly. No promises.

Herods Palace or Hilton Sheba Eilat for one night stay with 2 kids? The Hilton is 175 vs 222 for Herods. Also do they care if I write that we are 2 people when with the kids we are 4? They are ages 2 and an infant..

Booked a ticket on one of the Rayenair flights leaving from Ovda.
Ideas on how to get there from Jerusalem without paying 600-700 shek for cab?
