Hey Hey! No offense to anyone! I wrote "them" cause "I" and the people in my community are not made for this. Its for "them" not for "us". Now start bashing me about Ahahvas Yisrul etc. ... But you can't deny that there is a difference. Is it better for your children to sit at the passover Seder with Bubby & Zeidy or to go eat it at the local Chabad? There are standards, thats all I wrote. Now abut the Keeping It Together project you are right that it's very Chushev that they should keep even 1 minute of Shabbos. My question is if there is a long-term goal? Is it for this Shabbos and done? Will they start keeping Shabbos because they were at a commercial Shabbos table? Could be, I asked.
One of the most ridiculous posts on DDF

The number of people who signed up on the website is 13,000. Aren't they looking for hundreds of thousands?
Personally, I Didn't think they advertised well.
Keping one minute of Shabbos has long term ramifications. Nitzchiyus. Not picking on any forum member, just pointing something out...
"Their" intention was for each city to advertise for themselves.
In Monsey, you hardly hear a word about it. Most people I mention it to haven't heard of it.
Many cities are using their own website/registering system to simply it and meet the information needs of their individual cities which is skewing those numbers
And the cities aren't sharing that info with the shabbos project so that they can update their numbers??
I wish they wouldn't only market this as 'inviting the unaffiliated' I know many frum Jews who need to experience a real Shabbos seuda
Has anybody in ddf actually invited a secular friend?
