Topic Wiki

Since October 12, 2015, the prepaid REDcard (Redbird) can only be loaded at Target with cash. It can still be loaded online with a bank-issued debit card, up to $200/day and $1K/month.

Therefore, for MS (manufactured spending) Redbird is now considered dead. RIP!

Problem is all the MS folks who don't file tax returns or don't have "income" or are otherwise going to mess up the game for the rest of us

No,  they mess themselves over.  If you have income to match your application,  you will pass

I thought with amex it doesn't even have to match the amount you put on the application, just as long as you have any income.

I don't think one should rely on that. People have passed showing less income, but one should not be inflating income to potentially get cards.

Not sure. They fr people that they consider a credit risk. I  believe that you need to have enough to show that you are not

the only thing that i would be concern is how would one explain multiple $1000 $500 charges @target specially now after target  hard coded the system to allow only $1000 per transaction

My experience, every cashier has different rules not every store,
cashier 1: we can only do 1 transaction a day in this store,
cashier 2: you can only use a credit card with your name on it and it has to match your ID,
cashier 3: I can do as much transactions as you like up to a total of 999,
cashier 4: was ready to do as much as i wanted and how i wanted,

So in the end of the day, every cashier has their own store policies and rules.

Any way to stop a withdrawal transaction to bank account that I submitted 20 minutes ago? Just realized I have a check to pay and I'd rather send with RC then do withdrawal.
