Best way for JFK [or IAD] to HKG and BKK, with some time spent in both in F or J?  Looking to burn some AA before 3/16.  Ideally I'd love to fly through DOH one way to BKK but QR doesn't seem to be releasing anything other than LHR-DOH.

Is JFK-HKG-JFK with a separate HKG-BKK-HKG the only option?

This could be done on CX.

Also could do:

YVR-NRT(JL)
NRT-BKK(JL)
BKK-HKG(CX)
HKG-SFO(CX)
SFO-xxx(AA)

I know, that's how I would do it.  I just feel like it may be a waste if there's another way that would allow a stopover.

You're right!  I just found in May, thanks.  I'm looking at the end of June and didn;t see any, so I looked at the next few weeks thinking they may open it closer, and there was nothing.

Also could do:

YVR-NRT(JL)
NRT-BKK(JL)
BKK-HKG(CX)
HKG-SFO(CX)
SFO-xxx(AA)

Checking my dates now.  Thanks!

What about the J from DOH-BKK?  I found availability in J and F if I play with my dates but I'm assuming F would be a mixed cabin so probably not worth it.

Check which plane it is on and then google a review of it.

-0.5

They are starting to fly the a350 JFK-DOH later this year which has a great J product.

If it's F then it's the a380 and it's a great product, and a great value at just 45k AA.

JFK-DOH-BKK is 2 awards. So 1 leg in J and 1 leg in F would be 67.5k + 45k. Both legs in J would be 67.5k + 30k.

You fly PHL-DOH on the a350 with a great J product.

That's a great idea.  I also found IAD-BOS-DOH on the A350.

If it's F then it's the a380 and it's a great product, and great value at just 45k AA.

Seems to be about half and half.

JFK-DOH-BKK is 2 awards. So 1 leg in J and 1 leg in F would be 67.5k + 45k. Both legs in J would be 67.5k + 30k.

Just realized that...  I'll probably spend a day or two in DOH for the heck of it.

What's the best CPT-LAX, preferable on either QR J 787, A350 or EY F? If QR J isn't available, what's the cheapest J or F from CPT-LAX?

Shouldn't be concerned about what's the best... should worry more about which flights have availability then choose from there.
