LH F...

*Noob alert*

Is CX J and F (HKG) an option?

And what's the best way of booking each of the aforementioned? Would I be correct in saying:

The first 4 - UA
QR - AA
EK - AS
EY - ?

You ignored KLM, AF, VS, DL - purposefully?

It is but I don't think that he is looking to travel an extra 12 hours.

Was mentioning mostly the better programs he would enjoy on a longhaul flight in J/F. My list is not exhaustive.

AC and SQ would be on their website.
that would mean YQ, right?
EY - AA
They would count that as 2 separate awards, no?
My list is not exhaustive.

Appreciated very much. I'm planning this exact trip, so I'm just making sure the options I'm thinking of are correct.

Yes. But less miles and can use Amex to transfer.

Correct. Only QR will book this as one award via DOH if both flights are on QR.

Are there any advantages to book through Priceline or Orbitz vs directly with the airlines themselves?

Most (?) airlines also have a 24 hr+ free cancellation or a 24 hr hold (AA).

Just what I was looking for!  Ty. I do see some advantages of booking on these OTA sites, but I have a similar feeling to responses #13-17.

Maybe double booking, OTA to safeguard spontaneous decisions and foreign airline quirks but cancelling within the first 24-36 hours, and direct to airline bookings to keep if we have decided to take that flight.  A pain.

looking to book OW SAN-JFK Jan 20 for two.  jet blue has a good sale with points and nonstop in the afternoon but I dont have enough true blue points

is my only option to transfer Amex points but their ratio is less than 1:1.  I can use Amex points straight up like cash but it comes out to like 26,000 for two people

any other options? does amex transfer instant to Jet Blue?

I'm trying to book round trip NYC-LHR-NCL.
If I book the NYC-LHR leg separate, from the LHR-NCL leg with AA, on a BA flight, the YQ, and taxes price at about $1,200.
Question: If I put ncl as the final destination, and make it one award ticket, will that bring the pricing now ?

I know it doesn't answer your question, but do you need to go through LHR?  On UA through DUB it's 30k OW +~$17.xx in fees.  Or Avios on EI for that matter.

I don't need to go through LHR.
I just thought that, that was my only option. I'll look into those routes. Much appreciated.
