Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

A banker told you that or a teller?

I am currently 7/24 and will go down to 4/24 in April.
I applied in branch for the 100,000 sign up now that it's almost gone, and was denied 7/24.
Any chance I can reconsider this next month when I will be 4/24 and still get 100,000 points.
1 rep told me no reconsideration for this denial.
Will huca work, any data points?

within 30 days you can get them to reconsider the same app though they might pull your credit again, especially if you need to show
them youre under 5/24. possibly even after 30 days

I don't mind another pull as long as I can get the 100,000 sign up, which won't be available next month.
When does the 30 days go from, date of application?
And does 5/24 fresh itself on 1st of month or day of the credit card opening?

30 days from date of app. 5/24 goes by 24 months of reporting to credit bureau

I called recon before I received my denial letter, explained circumstances, and got approved.  I had a choice of transferring 10k of credit from other cards and being approved on the spot or having it sent to a higher review for approval without having to transfer possibly.  A bird in the hand was good enough for me.

Small question.  Maybe there is a different thread for this.
A charge by a restaurant in Boro Park didn't give me 3X. Are some restaurants coded as "dining" while others aren't? How to know? And does it help to bring it to Chase's attention in hopes of getting 3X points? TIA.

Can't hurt to bring it to their attention. Maybe he's routing the charges through a another business.
Memories last forever, make them while you can.
