-Have a universal rule that doesn't discriminate. How about store credit for everyone?
Some stores do offer store credit. And the people come back again & again & again and spend another 2 hours asking a million questions & make you tear open new stuff to try on all over again. (The sweat & blood that go in to please customers would make you wanna commit suicide)
-Charge a restocking fee for used returns
You do that & you'll lose most of your customers. They're still mad they're not getting cash back for all their open & clearly used stuff.
-Put tags on visible areas of clothing so it won't be used without removing the tag
What stops them from just putting it back on ? Or saying it fell off on its own ? And this wouldn't work on stuff that comes sealed in bags.
A large percentage of returns never get sold again. In kohls they could just throw it back on the shelf & the next low class shopper will buy it. Not in heimishe stores where the feinshmeckers won't buy it if it doesn't look 100% new sealed in its original packaging without the slightest additional crease or speck of dust.
Again, I have no idea about this lady & her online store. I'm referring to the small heimishe stores.
