Sofa Warranty Claim Question
« on: October 02, 2016, 03:10:13 PM »
I had a sofa Warranty Claim, they sent a technician here is what they responded, question is if I should accept or ask for something more
Quote
Hello,

After closely reviewing the technician’s report, your sofa is able to be repaired, however they are not 100% confident the repairs will even last for the rest of the sofa’s life time.

We are offering you $400.00 to keep the sofa as is with a signed Release & Agreement. You would receive the money via check. You may use the money as you so choose. Once I receive your acceptance to this, I will send you a copy of the Release & Agreement to read, sign, date and return to me.

Of course! Can't hurt to try. Demand up to 600.. say you need to replace it etc. Settle for 480. Not a penny less.

I don't understand. If you paid for the warranty, I would assume they either have to pay to fix it properly, or give you replacement value.

Since it is unable to be repaired, we have no other option to offer you. The highest compensation I can offer to you is $500.00 with a signed Release & Agreement.

Replacement value for a 4 year old, $900 sofa is less than $500.
Take the money.

If it's able to be repaired, take the money. If it's unable to be repaired, you can possibly push for full reimbursement, but might be wiser to just take money and not be greedy.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

Mine looks like that too, probably because the center seat gets sat on less often than the side seats.

When I bought a warranty, I was told that if not repairable, I'd get credit of full value towards a new one.

So take the $500 and sit on the middle cushion.

No one's offering me $500 :) or I'd take it!

Then ask for the full $900.
