Delta pay partial with a GC and rest on the CC and it should trigger the credit then you can get travel credit for the ticket to be used in the next 24 months. Try and change the American one to united (will be easier if you never used any credit with united) and buy travelbank credits on UA. NOTE: If the transaction doesn't post before end of the date dec 31 even if you charged it before it will count toward the 2021 year.

just for the DP -  did an AA buying miles at check in kiosk $150 (thanks @Dan wouldn't have thought of that one) and one $250 united travelbank. both successful

What do you mean by "unitedcash"?  I can't find that name anywhere on the website.  How is it different than Travel Bank?
