thats was the proper way we should of said it, and that's the way I would say it, if I was the one to release this saying.
But since this was a real old one, that was maybe taking for deutch or somewhere, this is the way our grandmother / fathers used to pronounce it.

Even in Israel there are many that don't speak the "old, real" yiddish anymore. It's sad actually. Especially because for many Yiddish is there only language.
