You got fr'ed on your first ever amex card 2 weeks in? Oy. That's probably why you were able to pass fr though. Doubt they would've let you get away with no tax returns if you had a coupla cards

They seem to like auto approving and then almost instantly fr-ing, instead of reviewing application first. (That's actually good for me,  I have a better chance of keeping my cards than getting approved if they fr-ed first.)

after they requested that information, and would not budge on accepting bank statements alone, I closed all my accounts.

4 months later, was instantly approved.

Was only 2 months ago. Haven't applied for any other cards since then.

i got a call from amex the rep said to send in tax return pay stubs and bank statement, but the email they sent just said to send notarized form proving id. has anyone had this and is sending in proof of id enough?

Call and see if they will expedite, because ppl have reported getting point expedited once they were already pending ... And then huca if they say no. Good luck.

wonna thank you all for the advise! i ended up getting all my points out (after paying and huca) they only wanted to expedite the 2k points for the swipe but once they did that the bones 50k posted as well so thank you!!

It may be just a verification. Or it may turn into an fr. Does it say charging suspended on your online account?

i ended up faxing in license and called them up, they said that they will review my file and call me back.
they called back and asked a lot of questions about me....nothing financial and they said I'm good to go

I'm pretty sure that means you narrowly avoided an fr. By me I called up and answered the q's and then I asked her if my account is under an fr and she said she will let me know when she finishes processing the questions - meaning she didn't even know yet

my friend got a F/R , his income on his last year tax returns isn't the same amount that  he put in the application its much less , but he has a higher income this year , he can only show them pay stubs to proof that he earns the amount he gave on the application , will that be good enough to pass ?

Amount he put on application makes no diff. It matters what he told them over the phone after he was hit with the fr
ETA: there have been many, many reports of people passing with tax returns showing much lower amounts than the stated income

Seems to be a lot of reports. Maybe due to immediate heavy spend on the biz plat cards (150k offers)
