i love this site, very informative.
just applied (through the links on this site of course, and 3 browsers) for the chase sapphire preferred, ink bold and ink plus, it said i would get a response within 10 days, i hope i get accepted to all of them.

Check out http://forums.dansdeals.com/index.php?topic=8028.0 for chase reconsideration numbers.  I just did this a few weeks ago, and after speaking to them they were able to move shrink the line of credit on one card and split it to 2 others and then closed another card to open a third.  Better off calling or else you may just get denied.

I right now have no credit cards. I read up on some of the forums about applying for cards.
I applied for the chase freedom and macys card and got denied of both.
The reason for both was that I had insufficient credit history- which is true, I am only 19 years old.
Which card should I look to open? I spend about 800 dollars a month on average for small purchases like gas, food, errands etc.
Any ideas welcome.

the best thing to try to do is get approved from a department store like the Macy's card you tried to get. perhaps try old navy or gap?

I know im not noturbizniss but I can try to help 

No reason to wait a day or two to call..especially if you need the card already.
You can call app status and ask them for confirmation number of all apps and then hang up and call back recon for each one separately telling them each confirmation number.  This does NOT mean they will not see the other apps.  Just a little thing to prevent it from maybe happening.

And if they do ask you why all the apps..tell them all the benefits of each card that you'd love to have..NOT because of the signup bonus.

Get urself added on a relative/friend's account (who pays on time etc) as an authorized user with ur social security number and then reapply after 6 months or so.

My father got a Targeted offer for 75k on biz gold after $5000 spend.

He got it a few days ago and its valid until Feb 16.

I tryed it and it said the offer is no longer valid, so I called and rep tryd but it does not work.
She said maybe its too new, does that make any scene?

Can I SM amex with copy he has no amex at the moment?

What I ended up doing is serch for a offer by address and got it.

Try for the Amex Blue Card. I did that for s/o in the same situation as you and got approved.

I dont need an increase. I just wanna know if the low CL is a indication that Amex doesnt like me too much, and that I therefore should be more carefull?

Interestingly I just applied for the Amex Delta Gold. Site said wait 14 days. I called up..rep told me I'm approved for 15k. Thats a jump from 2400 to 15k! I guess they realy loved me all this time! I feel so warm and fuzzy inside...

Try for the Amex Blue Card. I did that for s/o in the same situation as you and got approved.

Amex is the last card I'd recommend if your having a hard time getting accepted.

Searched around but haven't found (easily) specific answer - Can i get the MB plat bonus if i apply just under 12 months after i cancelled amex gold card (1/31/12) but might be less than 12 months from when i cancelled biz gold card.  Reason I want now is cuz im flying delta mid feb and want the lounge access...
While i'm here, i will be doing a 3BM shortly with amex with one card being MB Plat, and I think best choice for number 2 is SPG biz.  For #3 should I do another plat, another gold or a personal spg?
I applied for and got the saphhire mastercard in aug and 3bm chase in dec got ink bold and plus and BA card (had to close one card to get BA).  MY current fico score is ~770.  Should I wait a bit before applying?
