applied for sapphire-declined-huca, bla bla bla, and she tells me that everything looks ok just need to speak with the verification department and they r closed today so i should call them tomorrow 1800 278 8830!!

what does this mean? does anyone have experience with this?

just called Citi bank regarding my WMC AA card, told them the year's approaching and i can't justify the AF as i barely use the card, without hesitating she offered me an $85 statement credit as well as 750 bonus miles if i spend $750+ every billing cycle for the next 16 months. not bad for a simple phone call.

wait till tom and see what the issue is, had this a few times can be they just need to verify ur ss or add

Yes..they will just ask you if you are the one that applied for the card...and I think a few security questions...thats what happened with me.

Anyone know how soon after an annual fee is posted by Bank of America one can cancel/downgrade to avoid the fee?

Also, any know how BOA credit allocation works, ie can I shift the credit from one CL to another upon closure?

I did one after 20 days and another after 40 days.
I had a fuuny story with one of the cards, where they refunded me the annual fee but forgot to close the card!...
So maybe try first to just waive.

Yes. But they told me it might result in a hard inquiry, and I have a feeling they're right.

I SM'd Chase to match me and this was their reply:

Have you ever tried someone else's invitation # with Chase?
If the above doesn't work, telling them I saw it in the bank will only work if, indeed, they had a public offer but it doesn't seem so from their reply...
Hence my original question if this offer was in any way public or strictly targeted?

It is a public offer in the bank right now, at least in my local bank, so I don't see why they can turn that down. What they prob. will say is that you still have to wait the 3 months not letting you double dip.

yes because then you might go and spend 3k and another 40k will post automaticly.
