I tried to sign up for a SW personal and business on the same day.
The personal was approved. The business was rejected.
I called to appeal the business card rejection, and made up a story about my business. (Sole prop, just starting up, expecting $115k revenue this year.) The agent said she would "recommend me for approval."
It's four weeks later, and I never received the card. So I called back today, and the agent said on further review, the application was denied.
So I told them I now have $6k in orders that I need to fulfill. The agent put me on hold and said I was rejected because:
1) My business is too new
2) I have 2 personal Chase cards that have been opened in the last 6 months
I HUCA'ed and got the same response from the next agent.
I don't live near a branch. Requesting a trial $500 line won't work because the card has a minimum $5k credit line.
I'm tempted to keep trying (maybe say the agent misheard, and I really have $60k in orders). Or I can just be content that G-d doesn't want me benefitting from dishonesty.
Suggested next steps?
