Does that even make sense, that all the gears and stuff would get messed up bec of a dead battery?
And did your battery need to be replaced? Like there were dead cells in your battery? Did u get it tested?
Transmission didn't shift into D only M and sounded like a truck driving in M gears. After restarting my car for the 2nd time after I charged up the battery after driving it for a bit the gears started to work again. But couldn't afford to take any more chances and drive around like that.
Went to Costco and picked up a brand new battery.
I've always gone to sears to get a die hard gold battery.
But I've discovered that Costco has higher rated batteries and for a much better price, as well as a 3 yr warranty no questions asked vs the old 2 year warranty.
So a no Brainer. Picked it up and swapped it out with the old battery. Took exactly 5-10 min and I was back up and running.
I have a dashcam installed into my cigarette port. Probably with that and the being a few years old, aside for me driving with old shocks and all which put alot of wear and tear on my battery, as well as the cold weather outside. All killed my battery. So for now I unplug it every time. If I have 10 minutes to hardwire the camera with the kit I bought on Amazon which automatically cuts it off once the battery reaches 11.7V or lower. Which will allow for me to have 24hrs worth of recording.
Though I would love to upgrade to a blackvue Dashcam. Worth the money in my opinion and you have a cloud to watch live.
