Since October 12, 2015, the prepaid REDcard (Redbird) can only be loaded at Target with cash. It can still be loaded online with a bank-issued debit card, up to $200/day and $1K/month.

Therefore, for MS (manufactured spending) Redbird is now considered dead. RIP!

+1. You enter the info on the signature pad. They don't even know what you're entering. You don't need to say anything.
So I can tell them that I want to register 2 cards?  Or they will say that 1 per person?  And I'll have to come back a different time.

So I should just give all my info. for the second card except I should give a different SSN number.  Right?
Correct.

It depends on the store. Most cashiers don't know the difference, so as long as the system lets, they won't know that technically it's 1 per person. If you want, just do the second one at a different cashier, or at the electronics desk towards the back.

All the CS rep did was enter the $1000 for the prepaid. She only spoke up when it was declined. Do i choose to put full balance on the debit card or choose the partial balance option?
no personal experience. It sounds like  you're trying to pay the partial balance with a $200 debit card, then another partial balance with another $200 debit card, etc. until the last one and it pays the full remaining balance.

Tell them exactly what you want to do. You have a few debit cards, with only $200 loaded on each.

Yes exactly. It worked as credit but not as debit

I did, but it's all done on the self serve  pad and it said insufficient funds when I selected the whole balance and froze up when I selected partial balance.

I have 9 redcards. One of the ways I recycle the money is by using bill pay to payoff BA credit card with a $0 balance, which means I will have a negative balance. Once the bill pay arrives, i request a refund check from BA CC and I use the refund to payoff the credit card used to load my redcard. Is it a bad idea to incur a negative CC balance and to ask for a refund? Does anyone know a better way of freeing up the REDCARD money besides for withdrawing to a bank account?

Sounds like a bad idea. Transfer to bank account is better

Yes all my cards are registered under various ppl. I have 45k to recycle. I can only transfer 20k a month to a bank (My and my wfies card each 10k). Is there another way to transfer the money to a bank? Would I increase my risk of being caught if I paid off my CC used to load the red cards with redcards bill pay?

Since the RC load is billed as Target (purchase?) it's not a problem to have RC pay your cc bill.
