I'd say they've become stricter over the past 6-12 months than they used to be before then, but still YMMV (as in, you might get lucky and be able to churn within a short period of time).

I've read here that the Business card does not report spending to the credit reports. Does anyone know if the card itself doesn't show as an active card or is it just the limit that's not posted?

IME, they do not show up at all. However, if you mess up, i.e. miss payments, etc, they will report it to the bureaus.

), it would seem intuitive (to me) that it would factor in.

That being said, I have read that it seems not to matter. Only the time between churns do.

The citibank site advertises their AAadvantage cards as having 30k bonuses, but the thread over here:

makes it seem like they're still offering 75K, as does another thread currently active here on this site. So if I were to use the 3 links on the bottom of post#2 on the flyertalk thread and do a 2bm for the 2 personals, would i end up getting the 75k for each or the 30k for each advertised for on the site? I'll be calling before activating to confirm either way, but I'm just curious as to what's going on.

You need to follow the directions precisely. If so, there is a good chance you'll get the 75k each. I did.

How will that help? The damage -(credit pull) has already been done.

It'll help to find out what card he is getting/got. He didn't say it would help with regard to the pull.

I would call to confirm that I'm in line for the 75K bonuses before going out and spending to get to the 1500 and 4000 dollar thresholds, respectively. Like AJK said above, it's not about the pull.

I followed the instructions over there at flyertalk and I didn't get a direct answer for either one, they said I could call and confirm for the Amex which I did but they said I should know in a day or two. For the VISA, they said I need to wait for confirmation, so I'm waiting for the email. B'H I get both.
