Wow you're incredibly naive.
These companies must be a bastion of honesty, they don't lie, cheat or steal hundreds of times a day. And the countless reports are all coming from dishonest clients.
I'm not arguing to the fact whether they're lying to credit card companies, or distorting the facts.
I am solely talking about their relationship with their clients. They need them, and they need their references. The people who were screwed were probably either given misinformation regarding how it works or given false promises regarding how much money to expect.
If someone has bad credit, and they're unable to apply for the 5 Golds & 2 plats, then they won't get the full amount promised. In such a scenario, they feel like they've been cheated and being taken advantage of.
I've yet to hear a case where everything went smoothly, and the person didn't answer the wrong questions when the bank calls them, and the company still didn't give them what was promised.
