I applied for the alaska airlines business card on Friday and it came in the mail today. I got approved for an $8500 credit line.from what I understand, anything over 5k is a signature card and therefore gets the 25k miles. The issue I am having is that it doesn't say signature anywhere on the card.
Anybody have any insight?
Business cards aren't required to be Visa Signature in order to be eligible for the 25k bonus.

Is there any point to this card anymore?

Is that a serious question?

Yes. Can you answer it? What is the point of the card if BofA could possibly confiscate the miles or even charge you for redeemed miles?

If you pay the AF's, your miles are safe.

I haven't seen any data points otherwise.  I've only seen miles being confiscated when at least one card was closed/downgraded to avoid the AF.

Yvette or Jenny will tell you their own "data points" when they cancel your awards or shut down your account. They have all kinda made up "data points" for their action.

From the data points about her I'm scared to take that source...

Why the feigned incredulity? As you see from the conversation that ensued, it's "nisht azoy poshut" like you make it out to be.

If you pay the AF's, your miles are safe.

There were reports of BofA going after people just because the card was closed even if the AF had originally been paid. See upthread.

So, I return to my original question:

Is there any point to this card anymore?

If you ignore peace123's posts it is pretty pashut.  The people upthread had closed cards earlier with paying the AF.

Did 3 applications on Friday. Multiple HUCAs resulted in reps saying Alaska Airlines cards only allowed to approve 2 every 90 days. New policy since July apparently. They weren't sure if that includes business cards as well.

I was actually auto-approved for 2 apps, $5000 and $2800 CL (that they moved from Fidelity), bummer. I should have lowered the CL on all my other BOA Visa Sig cards before applying.

Does anyone know if the $1000 spend/$100 statement credit is still good for the Platinum Plus Visa (under $5000 CL Visa)?

Never had this card before. If I apply for both biz and personal, will it count as 1 check or 2? If 2, am I more likely to get approved if I apply for 2 personals or 2 biz?

It is not BOA, it is Alaska that is going after people while pretending to be the card issuer. If it's the former, they wouldn't be approving apps and would include a language that says pay fee & remain the card open and risk shut down for no reason , blah blah in the card T&C.

I think it's really weird that people are churning away at this card without some clarity.
Dan said last night of DDFB that he's letting his miles from his 24bm just sit and won't touch them.
