A friend bought me a bottle of katzrin. Right before I opened it I realized its an 08 which was a shmitah year in Israel. Am I allowed to drink it in America?
It probably has some sort of heter machira ask your LOR (people here will either tell you can or can't but only you can decide which Rav to ask)

Best all around is Herzog Zinfandel- and strangely enough I like the cheaper one more than the reserve...
I like the old vine better than the reserve as well, but it is a very intense full bodied wine and will overpower anything but a roast or grilled chicken.

At the winery, if you are or become a member, you can get an additional 30% off + 10% at the restaurant. I think you can call up the winery and join over the phone.
I paid ~$55 for the two bottles (Meritage and Eagles Landing). When you sign up for the club, they charge you when they ship the bottles. I think the top tier was $115 for (4) "high end" bottles every quarter. You can cancel whenever you want.
When I was there 3 weeks ago they sad that who ever is signing up for the club membership will receive the awesome Napa Valley 2007 which it self was probably the best Napa they ever produced, now they kept it 55 months!!!! in the barrels, they say its something awesome, and its exclusive for club members you will not be able to buy it in stores.
You can say what you think when you think what you say.

Can anyone recommend a decent bottle of Champagne for under $40?

I know there isn't a huge selection out there.

Also - best place to order kosher wine online?

No.  But you can ask YLOR if youd like

Needing to replace cartridge ain't too exciting either..

The time to take it out and put a new one in (approx 10 second)?

Or the cost of a new one?

Neither. The fact that you need something outside of the actual piece to open your wine.
I don't need the extra worry of when I will run out of gas etc etc.

For those dry wine drinkers who remember gan eden wines, the same guy made some stuff now by the name "Agua Dulce". 2010, zin, cab and syrah. Available on kosherwines.com. I found the syrah to be very good.

I find it hard to believe that "dry wine drinkers" ever drank wine from a company called gan eden
