Fair point, but since it was Yom Tov time the schools were actually closed.

Yes, if they're enrolled in the lunch program. This is a one-time summer allotment.
School year P-EBT is only for children whose schools were closed or had remote learning.

NJ's plan is pretty similar to NY, and they'll also being doing $375 for Summer P-EBT for all lunch-program children.

Both NY and NJ are also doing Childcare P-EBT which means that all children under age 6 residing in a SNAP household will get School Year P-EBT even if their school was not closed/remote, and even if the child is not enrolled in school at all.

Correct.
The summer lunches are under a different program, which is why FNS considers all children to have received 0 from the regular lunch program for those months.

If you have SNAP: EBT card
If you have Medicaid (but no SNAP): Medicaid card
If you have none: P-EBT from last year. If you threw it out you can order a replacement.

I heard that all schools were required to submit the dates of when school was open and closed. and I know of a few schools in Rockland County that due to the 'Red Zones' last תשרי, the students will receive P-EBT for one fully remote month ($132) and 2 hybrid months ($82) a total of $296 per child in school.
