Once it becomes second nature it's not that many steps anymore 
And like this you don't have to memorize which keyboard shortcut you gave it (or run out of shortcut options)

which leads me to my next hack:

Copy the URL you want to access quickly.
Right click the URL on chrome and hit "Edit search engines...".
Hit "Add" and under "Search engine" give it a name.
Under "Keyword" put in a short word that you'll use as your shortcut.
Paste your URL in the last field (ignore the "%s in place of query"), and hit "Add".
Now type into your chrome URL bar, your keyword and hit enter!
(no need for arrow keys and finding your bookmark)
