Tnuva makes chicken?

Yes, they slaughter chickens. They slaughter cows too.
They are infamous for the recent Adom Adom animal cruelty scandal.

I just stayed at the hotel this shabbos, I gotta say I was really disappointed.

Some of the users here were disregarding the posters that said it was dirty and disgusting. I went, and found out that they were right: It's dirty and disgusting. I must have got the same room as MoisheBatchy http://forums.dansdeals.com/index.php?topic=11744.msg375804#msg375804 who found a iron burn mark on the floor. The same floor that had the most disgusting carpet I ever seen in a hotel, probably more fitting for a motel 6. The room had dirty walls, dirty tables, dirty floor, filled garbage, and a dirty bathroom. If you get room 228, make sure you change it. To be honest I saw one other Starwood room and it looked a lot better than mine did. The hallways are horrible looking too, but one can deal with that.

The lone staircase to get to the second floor, is the nastiest staircase I have seen in years. I would go down to the first floor using a different staircase, just so I can get up to the the lobby (3rd floor) using the lobby's direct staircase from the first floor, without having to nearly vomit in the other green staircase.

The service in the hotel was also 1/5. They get one star for actually being nice when I asked them requests. They get no more stars after that because not one of my numerous, various requests were actually granted. I asked two different people to turn off the a/c in the hallway of the rooms, because it was freezing and many people were complaining. They didn't listen. I found out the hard way that the thermostat in the room that goes up to 30 celsius, doesn't actually work for heating. The receptionist told me that they'll send a radiator, and of course they didn't. I cancelled breakfast in the morning, and when I went to check out they tried charging me for it.

Another reason I didn't enjoy the stay, is from the amount of chillul shabbos that is going on by the hotel guests and workers. I had to be careful that I wasn't talking to a Jew when I made ceratin requests but at certain times, I just wasn't sure.

All in all, the hotel does it have its bright spots, the lobby, some hangout areas and the price, but overall, it was not an enjoyable stay.

Have an SPG room booked for 2/27 but confirmation says Smoking. Called US 800# and they said not showing any non-smoking avail. that night. Any chance he's wrong & that "maybe" there'll be a non-smoking avail. upon check-in?  How about if my wife would be in her 7th month at the time, might that elicit sympathy from staff to upgrade to a better non-smoking room? Or, will they just not care one iota?

Relax. It's just a technical thing. I've been to the LMDS many times on "smoking" reservations, and gotten a non-smoking room.

If you're really concerned, call the hotel directly.

Thanks. Anyone have the name of a specific manager they've had good experiences with?
Reviews of LMDS have been all over the place. Would hope a manager's word/entry would hold more water.

 you can try <RoniTa@fattal.co.il>
was very impressed with how they treated my parents! On another note anyone have a shabbos in the near future they are not going to use?
Hello ,

I spoke with your mother, a very lovely women.

I'll asked of her to stay at the hotel a little bit longer so they can go to a fish foot treatment at the spa on the house

and stay for lunch, also complementary of course.

Avoid Guy Marom at all costs.  I had a big argument with him. He lied to Starwood.
