To signup for credit cards you can click here or on the “other credit cards” tab on top of the DansDeals logo banner to view links for card offers. Then just click on the link to “View all card offers by issuing bank” and scroll down to view all card offers from the bank of your choice.

Pulls from TU in NJ, NY , FL , PA

Recon 866 408 4064 (might pull from Experian)

For those who want to churn and/or want to get the bonus without paying the annual fee: Wait until the A/F gets charged, pay it off with the rest of the bill, and the sign-up bonus will post (at the end of that billing cycle). Then call to close the account and ask to be refunded. They can't charge an A/F for a card you aren't using. You will not lose the miles once they are in your US Airways account.

It seems that if after you use the card you just let it sit unused for a couple months, they will then email you with a targeted offer for 15,000 more points for spending $750 a month for three months.

Annual fee posted now to account. I'm assuming better luck at getting it waived before I pay it versus after and asking for credit? Is that what most are doing? Going to call them when they open up tomorrow.

Pay it, wait for bill to close, make sure miles post and then ask them to waive. I didnt wait for bill to close and they refunded AF but forfeited points :(
Fair warning - Any PMs sent in response to forum posts are fair game for ridicule in public.

In the last half a year Barcly recon loosened up allot. Myself and meny others have bean successful with 2bm's.
If youre gonna apply for one card, you may as well try for 2 or 3 and have good chances of pushing through with recon.
Should I talk to recon about both cards (pending & denied) on the same phone call?

Better chances if you don't.

Thanks. I got approved for the second card!

Now, before I call recon for the third card (denied), should I wait till I see on their website that the pending application was approved, or I can just go ahead & call?

Also, what would you answer them for the following question: Is there any reason you recently applied for new CC as from chase & discover?

No need to wait.

Try to explain that you need different cards for different purposes. Say you actually intend to close some of them.

Such a frustrating recon call for this card. Rep came back saying all the good stuff (we see you have maintained low balances, always paid on time etc) and then dropped the 'sorry, no can do' bomb at the very end. Wouldn't budge even when I offered to close my M&M. Same thing with the second rep. :(

Why would you want to tell them that you're going to close close some of them?

They don't understand why you need so much credit. It raises concerns.

Isn't it better to contact them by SM?

They don't seem to be able to do anything, but trying won't hurt.

Friend of mine just tried getting US airways as his first barclay and was declined, YMMV.

He called recon today and got it first try!

That is the reason they don't want to issue to him another one, which he will close too. I got through with 3, and got stopped at #4.

Any links for no annual fee?
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.
