I was just thinking about the divisiveness that's been going on, but I was hoping it's just a passing phase.
I understand why people are very passionate about Covid precautions, as they can be a matter of life and death, but recently it seems to be spilling over into matters of less significance.
Why are we using strong words when debating abortion - which in terms of this forum is just (hopefully) a theoretical discussion? Do we really have to blow a gasket at other members in a personal manner when some speak down about Rush Limbaugh upon his death? Is politics really worth sinking to name-calling on a holy and inspirational forum in which so much positivity has taken place?
There is not the fault of any one member, and in fact, to the contrary, there are some members who have taken the high road even when being personally attacked. But I think everyone should take a step back and think if they really want to sully this sacred turf with personal affronts.
I speak primarily to myself, but I hope others are eavesdropping.
