That sounds very in line with his wildly successful policies from the original wave. If you look back here on DDF it becomes pretty clear that FL was from the first hit with many reports of cases before even NY. Even the NY "patient zero" was presumed to have caught it in FL. Yet the death rate in FL is lower than in many states that have lower case rates. NYC, NJ, MA are the top 3 in deaths despite each of them having a lower case rate than FL. FL is number 8 in case rate per 100,000 since Jan 2020 but number 26 in death rate. Seems like focusing on the ones most at risk is a pretty successful strategy.

@CountValentine  This just shows how hatred blinds ,u asked how many died because of his policies and when someone posts the factual numbers u say u don't think so and when asked if the mortality rate was higher u ask what it has do do with your question   Florida is not even near the top of the list of deaths per 100k and the fact that Desantis wants to keep businesses restriction free is amazing in itself .

Not sure if you misread what I posted or it wasn't clear. They are dead center in deaths per 100k during this whole ordeal.

Now we can all play with numbers. Like NY was hard hit before we knew what was going on. FL came later when they should have known better.

Now back to if his policies caused people to die. Easter break is one example where I believe his policies caused people to die. His current head buried in the sand attitude is going to cause unnecessary deaths in this massive increase in cases in FL. There is major problem currently in FL and all he is doing is bickering with the WH.

This has nothing to do with hate. Do I hate the "D" mayor of Chicago also? Her decision to put money over public health with the past music festival will cause lives.

The problem is many here can not separate things so they project that on everyone.

ETA: Also when you post my response to a different question I was asked just shows who is really blind.
