Not sure if this is tongue and cheek but he meant how the plan was carried out type of execution.

I guess it would be better for the same thing to happen over months instead of days? The result is exactly the same.

Assuming Taliban would take over no matter who was president - you believe there was no smoother way for the US to pull out?

The result is not the same, this botched pull out is the reason people who should have been evacuated are being killed.

Just because you (and I) are against the pullout doesn't mean that once it is being done it makes no difference how poorly it is managed.

With some planning the Americans there would not have been in the danger they are now in and many locals who we are scrambling to help could have been taken care of.

I am neither for or against pulling out but hard to ignore a botched pullout. Do whatever you gonna do but at least do it right. The results were nothing close to what was promised.
