Au contraire, I think this is one of the main reasons they might be successful this time.

And btw the way they're planning to do it in 150-family blocks is brilliant. It minimizes (to an extent) the Nachshon issue, and it creates an environment where you start with minyanim, schools, shopping, etc from the very first minute.

Casa Grande may be nice and well (putting aside all the obvious issues they're having), but a successful community cannot be built by adding one family every few weeks.

I personally know at least 3 families who are literally ready to move in tomorrow if they could. This project seems to be generating levels of interest that we haven't seen with any of the others.

Union has about 50 families closed/under contract within 15 months. About less than half actually live there. The number is that high because of the Bobov 45 Rebbe pushing it. It will take some time for them to reach 150. It is also located 40 minutes from BP & right near Linden.

A new development is very different than an existing market with limited houses available and every house is different and has to be vetted to see if you would want to live in it. Especially when you don't know if the block where you are moving in is "Yiddish" yet, etc.

Also, Linden growth is restricted on purpose in order to keep prices from jumping.

BTW I noticed one one of the new videos that the flyby rendering showed a bunch of pools. So I guess it will be an option for some house types.
