The best thing I've ever done is buy exercise equipment (I live in Lakewood). I wouldn't exercise otherwise - having equipment in my house takes away the friction. And it's not short lived - I've been using them for almost 4 years.

Somewhat related to the exercise stuff, it's getting harder to justify gym membership. Most things can be done at home especially with free youtube guidance; exercise content on youtube has absolutely exploded since Covid.

If you rent a Home Depot truck within the last 1.25 hours before closing and return it at opening, you get it for the whole night at the 1st 75 minute rate.

Great idea, but you need to be pretty motivated.
The store hours are:

Mon-Sat: 6:00am - 10:00pm
Sun: 8:00am - 8:00pm

You have to rent it within 1.25 hours of truck rental closing, or store closing?

Also unlimited milage it looks like, so you can technically do 8 hours of driving.

Truck rental closing. As per my friend, (I haven't done it yet) he rented it 7ish (truck rental closes 8, store at 10), went to a city about an hour away to pick up some furniture from yad shniya, (another frugality tip) returned it at 6 am and it was only $30

If the mileage really is free, which your friend seems to have confirmed, this is really a good buy!
Great for a yeshiva guy to use for a date!
