Some things I don’t understand:
With Sinwar AWOL, what does Hamas chain of command look like? Can the leaders in Qatar even communicate down the chain of command if a ceasefire is negotiated? Is there even a chain of command in Gaza (without Sinwar) that can facilitate the release of hostages if a deal is reached?

Perhaps nobody knows the answers, but I haven’t seen much discussion about this other than the suggestion that the “price” for releasing the hostages will go down with Sinwar out of the picture.

Am I the only one thinking that maybe they caught (or killed) Sinwar and keeping it under wraps for some reason? I could think of quite a few reasons why they may want to keep it quiet.
