They're all stupid. I don't understand why they're not in Rafah yet.

I also don't understand why Israel is not focusing enough on their successes in decimating Hamas up to now, as that is a big part of their PR problem (not that the world has any issues swallowing obvious lies by the Pallys, hook, line, and sinker). They make it look like Israel is just there pointlessly, prolonging "innocent" suffering with no goal or purpose, when Israel is pretty close to accomplishing their short term goals of eliminating Hamas. Long term goals, we need Mashiach to even entertain the thought of how it's going to be possible.

I actually don't think it is stupid, and I can see the Israelis going for this, possibly with a condition that there's independent verification or proof submitted of who is alive. Two to Four days of truce isn't a high price to pay for that.
