Not sure I understand this... Iran opening a port in Israel isn't quite comparable.

Gaza is internationally recognized as it's own entity. Israel doesn't want a port there for obvious reasons, but they also aren't in a position to stop the US from opening one there.

at this point its best for everyone that israel just becomes a full blown 51st state in the USA,

Defend their own? Have you been following US news over the last few years? Israel would be better off becoming part of UAE. At least crime would go down and borders would be respected.
