You want proof: who is the letter addressed to? Was it sent to anyone specific or just publicly posted? If I were a betting person I would bet heavily on the latter.

Why not the other way around? End the status quo free-for-all, have proper netzigim and gabboim elected and running things properly, then you’re in a position to suggest Aguch should withdraw the lawsuit. Right now their legal action is the only way to compel change.

The bottom line is that some מוחין דגדלות are required, along with some ego trimming and elimination of old-school inertia (and a complete denunciation of violence and ערכאות for all internal disputes.

מוחין דגדלות means that I realize and acknowledge that someone whose view might be opposite from mine, yet still 100% valid.

An example I like to give for this is entering the Rebbe's room. For some people, the רגש ההתקשרות pulls them to want to go into the Rebbe's room whenever possible. For others, the רגש ההתקשרות tells them that they should not enter the Rebbe's room. While I might hold one way, I can accept that the other way is 100% valid and coming from a legitimate and well-intentioned place.

No one has to pay membership to be a Lubavitcher. Just ask @aygart.

But in order to have a say in the management of the Shul, it is only right that it should be members only (and probably the proper legal way to do things). This might not fit with Communist dogma/ideology, but this is the way things work in the USA.

IMHO part of what put us in the current mess is the fact that all members of the Crown Heights community were allowed to vote, regardless of whether they daven or contribute anything to the shul.
