We all know words have different meanings. The purpose of the thread was how in the same discussion we are not on the same page for the meaning of the word. No one in the Eurovision discussion is thinking that "proud Jew" means someone who is proud of getting a cheaper price on something.
Yes but, "he was acting Jewish", can mean that he was trying to get a cheaper price.
I don't know about being Christian, and i assume amongst Catholics and Protestants and other groups there are different definitions, but when you get to Jewish, the Orthodox have one set of rules while the Reform groups have their own definitions.
