Every hashgacha has +&-.
RMA YD122:9
Not much to do with סתם כלים, but thanks for the clarification. An אינו בן יומו gives much more leeway to not have to be חושש that this happened.
But סוף כל סוף the punch line is that we aren’t choshesh that it happened as expressed by @ExGingi , and אינו בן יומו merely is a mitigating factor to lessen the issur.Certainly not in the על זה נאמר category.
Good for בדיעבדThat's good for לכתחילה too.
True but people conflated what you wrote and assumed a שעת הדחק would qualify as bdieved here which is untrue.
בדיעבד means if the food was already prepared in the pot/kettle, לכתחילה means no need to kasher it.
Not in see ShaCh there.
That’s because it’s a different din than what he’s talking about.
Not really. You want to use this kli that is already in this situation.
My point was that even if you go with his premise and are choshesh that it was done (I have no idea how prevalent some things may be by goyim) there is STILL no chashash
You can’t quite infer that from the source you gave. There it was a one time question if it was used for tarfus. Here we are talking about hundreds of people potentially of the course of years who may have used it. Even if one person one time did it it’ll be a problem! At some level of prevalence it’ll become an issue.
This is not at all true because if it was used with water after it was eino ben yomo that would kasher it.
Anyone know https://www.koshermonterrey.com/Seems it's run by Rabbi Zalman Leib Libersohn based on https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5d2fb32e2e13520001d94524/t/5d2fc3500a3dcf0001a88e0d/1563411280304/d380ed_c7a0626b697d440080cfbc875c827c21.pdfand he is a Chabad rabbi? Based on https://www.kosherdelight.com/MexicoSynagogues.shtmlSaw their hechsher on some Don't Worry Meringues at Costco.
Apparently several keto products have used a k in a circle to show keto. Looks exactly like the ok hechsher. Similar to vegan using the ov. I wonder if ok is big enough to fight this off or will they have to change their symbol too.
