Vinegar eels are 50 microns wide. They are only discernible while writhing. They are extensively discussed in the achronim.

He is talking about micro organisms that are not discernible even when moving. He says explicitly that vinegar eels are assur.

My only source is a rov who had a laminated aphid and thrip in his wallet, and he showed me how the legs on the aphid are clearly discernable, but on the thrip they are not. He said he would eat the thrip, but then he wouldn't be able to show it to anyone else.

An anonymous rov who is an unknown and who’s name can’t be posted who is going against Rav Moshe as well as the accepted definition of nireh lieinayim is not much to hang your hat on.
