Lieber's imitation white vinegar from previous Pesach vs. Lieber's distilled white vinegar from this past Pesach. Both marked KFP. Hasn't it always been the imitation stuff for Pesach, "acetic acid reduced with water to a uniform table strength of 5% acidity"? The new one is "white distilled vinegar." What changed?

the premise is silly. Acetic acid is the main component in all vinegar. It depends on the source of the acetic acid. Any rotting (fermenting) sugar will produce acetic acid.
For pesach they use synthetic petroleum based.

the factory and mix is kosher. the stores need hashgocha for oils etc. many of the one's in CA do. @yeahthatskosher has a list somewhere. the ones they sell in Ralphs on La Brea have a hashgocha on the sticker.

Why? Can't you make white vinegar from potatoes and call it a day?

The synthetic stuff is terrible.

There is going around a letter that was supposedly hanging in Lakewood that one company selling clean romaine is infested with bugs
Can someone confirm if it's true or it's just a rumour

Anyone have info on Dover Tov Kosher certification and supervision? It's apparently headed by Rabbi Berach Stienfeld, who is involved with the OU. According to the OU's page on him "His involvement in Kashrus certification, experience in the classroom, as well as serving as Menahel in local mosdos has provided him with myriad opportunities to further his learning and growth", so that sounds promising. The particular restaurant I'm inquiring about is Dar Yemma Kosher in midtown Manhattan.

My lunch is scheduled for 12:30, so prompt replies would be appreciated

I don't know about his shitos and policies, but I know him as a very frum knowledgeable person that is in the kashrus field for 20+ years.

Anybody heard of Truly Kosher - https://www.tkkosher.com/ ? Only heard about it as they certify Prime brand of beverages.

Looks like it’s a Chabad or Chabad affiliated certification. They certify (or have certified) the Chabad of North Hollywood (in CA not FL). See: http://chabadnorthhollywood.org/media/pdf/1121/ckBx11215493.pdf.

It isn't like there are a hundred hechsheirim in AZ. There only a couple so it could be (and I am not saying this at all from any kknowledge) that they simply didn't like what they saw.
