I have a roundtrip flight booked with  miles on United in January. Each leg was 15K.
For business reasons, I want to change the return flight ZRH to EWR, to either MXP->EWR or TLV->EWR. My job has an office site in Lugano.

I think I need to change the second flight and then cancel this leg.

Will I get my 15K points back? Will my first flight EWR>AMS still be unchanged?

if you mean saver awards, you can't count on UA releasing them, upgrading may be an option.

I have a direct flight from TLV - EWR and i want to change it to a multi city TLV - LON - EWR but the prices on the website are showing a $3,000 price difference which sounds crazy being that i can book these flights seperately for a lot cheaper. Is there a better way to do this?

There are some ~$90 RT flights like EWR-SYR that will cost you 3-4 hours to make the PQF requirements.

I have the opposite problem. $65 short on PQP with 9 segments already flown.

Any advice? Those ~$90 flights are a few dollars short.

I called United today. I am 2 segments and $100 short to requalify for gold. Was gonna hop on a short mileage run today/tomorrow, but because of all the cancellations the last few days, there are no trips available that would make sense. I called United and they said that after Jan 1, I should call back, and they have a challenge offer for those who just missed requlifying to retain status. This is defferent then a regular status match (matching a different airline's status), so even if someone did a status match within the last five years, they can still qualify to do this challenge to keep the status

Thank you. Took some HUCA but in the end it seams they can move the start date and not extend the challenge. However that should still allow me to reach the threshold and qualify.

When does Silver status through Marriott Titanium renew? It seems it expires at the end of January. But when I try to register to match again it says check back beginning 2/28/2023.
