What are the closest decent (not super fancy) restaurants to the lower east side?

If they keep the menu and the prices don’t go up (or not by a lot) this will be amazing.

A falafel Burger makes so much sense. Why doesn't anyone else do it?

7-mile market in Baltimore had them. They were given out in the covid boxes. Apparently, they weren't too popular.

Sounds niche to me. Not sure I'd enjoy the higher inside-to-surface-area ratio. Would certauinly want to try it though.

You're comparing covid-box food to the chef-prepared menu of a fast-casual place? That's like comparing rotten apples to oranges.

Interesting. Can't wait to try it.

As for why other places don't make it, it might be tricky to get the texture right, while also deep frying it without it falling apart.

As expected, will also be under NKS (Mehlman) Interestingly they were already serving only kosher meat, so certification is not huge jump.
per article fwiw only marginal price increases, anyways it's nice to see kosher becoming more accessible.

Tov Li in Toronto has a falafel Burger in a bun. It’s Very solid and was wondering also why no one else had it…

Plenty of eateries have that. Mr. Broadway for one...
