Facts
The flu vaccine causes more deaths per year than chicken pox.
The direct injection of RSV immunoglobulin, commonly known as the "RSV vaccine" would prevent 16x more deaths than the flu vaccine does, but is too expensive.
There is a vaccine for the plague, and that is why it is no longer an epidemic.
Ebola is caused by vaccines.
There is a vaccine for autism, but it causes mumps.

Opinions
Vaccines do not contain thimerosal, a known toxin.
If you snuck up on your neighbor's kid and cut open his skull, you would be arrested.  But when brain surgeons do it, and charge hundreds of thousands of dollars, it considered "medicine."
99% of vaccines do not cause autism (HT JJ1000).
Every pedi has seen healthy kids become sick physically & mentally hours after a vax (HT Baryochai)
Vaccines cause cancer, infertility, astma, adhd etc (HT Baryochai)

Not doubting but due to

+1
from here

Rav Elyashiv, quoted by Rabbi Tatz in “Dangerous Disease & Dangerous Therapy,” says that all parents have an obligation to vaccinate as this is normative practice throughout the world, and is included in the parents’ basic obligation to care for their child. It would seem from the quote that he was very familiar with the scientific pros and cons and felt that until there was objective evidence to the contrary one must vaccinate to avoid danger; not vaccinating would be considered negligence on the part of the parent.

Additionally, Rav Elyashiv is quoted as ruling that parents of vaccinated children can insist that all other children in the class be vaccinated as well, so as to limit their exposure to disease.

My firm is giving out free flu shots, so I signed up for one.

Here is my analysis:

1. I signed up bec it is free. It's easy to get people to take free stuff.  It would have been free at any pharmacy with my insurance also, but somehow this seemed more free.
2. Maybe they do it because it benefits the firm if people don't get sick. Or maybe because it costs them less to pay for it like this than to pay for it through the insurance (bec I think they self insure).
3. Probably when the firm gives them out, they won't put in the stuff that makes you sick.

It's a conspiracy, don't fall for it. ;)

1. Assuming you pay for your insurance, by not taking the shot they would give you you're throwing away money. So it's actually less free to take the free shot.

3. I would use the same logic for using a flu shot given by a health insurance company.

Old news but...

"As many as 1,000 Exxon Mobil employees and 14 residents of a senior citizens home were injected with fake flu vaccine, authorities said Friday, and the owner of a home health care company was arrested.

Preliminary tests indicated the syringes were filled with purified water, U.S. Attorney Chuck Rosenberg said. And no ill effects from the shots were reported.

But Hermina Palacio, head of the Harris County health department, recommended that people who received the shots get tested for blood-borne pathogens such as the AIDS virus and hepatitis B and C.

Exxon Mobil offered blood tests and counseling to the employees who received the shots at a health fair Oct. 19-20 at the oil company’s complex of refineries and chemical plants in Baytown, just east of Houston."
I just found a new supply of forks!

At least they didn't inject them with aluminum and preservatives and viruses.

We give them for free to employees for #2. I don't think anyone purposely puts in stuff that makes you sick, we call a service that does it, just like your firm probably does. The evil scientists get their hands on all of the, I'm sure it's a way of controlling global population.

Got mine yesterday.

Side note: I am always surprised by the number of people who are pasionate in their opinions about the flu vaccine yet believe they have the flu when all they have is a bad cold. I would be surprised if half the people could describe the difference between them (w/out looking it up on wikipedia).

I can't. I've never gotten the flu. In over thirty years. Not sure why I need a vaccine for that?

Exactly. And even last year, when some of the people who said that got it anyway, I still didn't get it.
