Lock installing apps + remove browser + add apps you need (possible rules: no games, no sports, no entertainment, etc.).
[Occasionally an app will have a built in browser/or need to access a certain website - just go back in to settings (with password) and add that website].

I believe all "official" filters will disable hotspot. (If you remove the browser using ADB hotspot will still work.)
If I uninstalled some stuff with ADB, but now I can't open settings on the phone and ADB doesn't recognize device, any options other than wiping the phone and redo it?

Tried Purifeye filter. Not for me, didn't work.
I felt like it was their beta tester. I'll pass when I have to pay to use the filter and the need to contact support every day.

Tried netspark, or rather am currently using netspark,  but not a happy camper. Very buggy and slow.
Yes I'll forego the crazy speed without a filter and Wait a second or 2 delay every time I search but it has to be a decent filter.

Blocks sites it shouldn't be. For example random items on Amazon.
And doesn't allow me to load many apps. From T-mobile Tuesday app, tracfone app, swappa.com and many more.
The YouTube filter is not a filter, it has a brain of its own, some videos are blurry some are not.
Apps are not filtered. Filled with adds and lots more.
So either I'm just not understanding what a filter is supposed to do. Or you're not supposed to have any internet?
I get it that nothing is perfect. Buy to pay a $100 for such a filter I'm just not sure I'm getting it.

Is is gentech or any other filter out there any better? I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S10 if that makes a difference.

Any suggestions from you guys or anyone that has experience or is happy with their filter?

I'm not very familiar with phone filters but I do know that on pc NetFree is great.

I do know that without root filtering apps on android is a challenge since they only rely on root certificates.

Did you try contacting TAG? They are knowledgeable and can tell you if there is a solution for you.

Haven't tried the others but gentech slows my phone down majorly. And not to mention the fact that it blocks tons of stuff. Like I've had to part with Google assistant because they couldn't figure out how to filter it.
Still looking for a good MS method :)

Have you tried calling again? the hertz app on my phone suddenly stopped working and I tried a few times to get them to fix it (via email) but nothing worked, finally I called up in frustration and the person I got fixed it in a second, I asked him what finally changed and he said you have to know where to look.

Side note: If emailing doesn't get you anywhere then call because they will have you try the affected app/service while they are watching on their end so they can see exactly what part is getting blocked.
If it's not free shipping it's not worth it.

Try Meshimer?

Meshimer and Gentech are both Livigent based... that means that if it is true that Gentech is what slows down his phone then it won't help to switch to Meshimer.

Try to contact TAG. They have something new for Android.

(livigent filter) I have noticed that when using Google to type via voice there is a delay and it sometimes doesn't catch certain words. Is this because if the filter?

It's called MB Smart.

I've seen it on devices but I don't know much about it.

Thanks for the name!

Seems more like a blocking thing, not a filter: https://tagatlanta.org/filters/

I have it and it works very well for those who don't need a browser. It costs only $30 a year and can only be done through TAG. It has an option with a Kosher APP store that has many pre approved apps.
