Looking into getting a phone for my teenage daughter.

My earlier experience has been that iPhone seems more secure, and the ability to set restrictions and just whitelist websites or approve apps on request was a pretty good solution.

However my daughter's phone broke, and she now is asking for an Android phone, and suggesting I put Gentech on it, which lead me to looking into things a little deeper.

Is Gentech on an Android secure enough to not be able to circumvent by a teenager (interrupt the boot process or something like that)?

I now see that Gentech is also being offered for iPhones. Does anyone have experience. Any downsides?
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

I heard from a friend who had gentech put on pixel,
They told him it is easily removable if you know. On an iphone it's much more secure, and they offered to do installation for free if he switched to an iphone.
But, a samsung phone may be safer due to knox

Gentech is not allowing Google Flights to load for me. The page loads but I get an error message when searching flights. I spent a while OTP with a technician and he couldn't figure it out. Any ideas?

And there isn't a higher level tech?

When looking at the Network traffic in Inspect or in the Console you/they can't find something blocked/errored?

I have no idea. Spent a long time with him. At the end he told me there's nothing more he can do.

Use family link to block the browser and limit the google app,
Pin lock the app store with the parental controls in the play store app itself
How do I use family link on my own phone? It asks for the children's email...

Make yourself the "child"
You will need someone else to be the "parent"

HUCA.
In my experience,  some Gentech reps are really good and quick at understanding the issues and resolving them, some are not...

There is an option to add "school emails" in the app once it's installed and set up.
I don't know if the "school email" has to be from an educational g suite or not

a) It's easy to make multiple emails. Besides this you never  know when they'll come in handy.
b) If you add a +1, +2, etc to your email, it comes to your regular inbox, but can be used to make a different account.

If you don't mind them all coming in to one email account, you can forward them.
But since you have several, I assume the business on each is different, so it's probably really inconvenient to have them all thrown into one account.

Yes. Even US.
It is a new feature so it is possible that they didn't update the entire website.
