If you used @Freddie's wording they may have been busy filing for a restraining order :)
I gotta admit, I gave it a shot (but asking for an AF waived, not the IP points). I left in the birthday invitation but took out the egging just in case  ;)

How did he waive it? He manually applied a $95 credit to the account?

i think the difference is that those of us who got fast and positive responses to our SMs wrote in at 1am and 2am, etc, when the offshore offices are handling the SMs. Those who SMd today during business hours got Americans.

if that's true, just wait a few more hours and write again :)
I am one of those mid of the night ppl who got a relatively quick response

I just hope if people are denied the match they don't all complain that "my friend got the match, why can't I," potentially causing us all to lose out.

Doubt it'll backfire like that.

But yes I SMed 11am no answer. Notmally takes 24 hours till they get back to me. Does it pay to even SM again now that night shift is on?

IF anyone has a problem, I got approved for the extra 10k on my most recent INK but for my older one they sent this, generic response that can help your case, seems if you opened within the past 90 days you are more or less entitled to match

Thank you for contacting Chase with your recent inquiry
regarding the 70,000 points enrollment bonus offer.

With the continual changes and promotional offers for many
credit card products we at Chase will always consider
allowing the newest promotion to be applied to any
qualified accounts that were opened within the previous 90
days of the offer.

In reviewing the open date on the account, I regret to
advise that the account is not qualified to participate in
the new enrollment promotion and therefore we are unable
to honor your request.

Although we appreciate your loyalty, we ask that you trust
that this decision is the same for all members whose
accounts do not fall within this designated time frame. We
feel that adhering to the same policy for all members
outside of this designated time frame is the best way to
remain fair and consistent.
