$75 fee:

-21+ days prior to departure is based on the departing city time zone, not the booking city time zone.

EDIT: I managed to call in and have them waive the fee when it was within 21 days in departing city time zone but not by booking city time zone

UPDATE: AA has removed all close-in fees

Long shot, I know.

I have a JFK-SFO booked in J (pre-deval) and want to change it to JFK-LAX instead.
Flight is for Friday morning, so rather not have to take a second flight down to LAX if at all possible.

If that won't work, would they allow me to add on a SFO-LAX leg to the booking for just additional miles or would there be $150 change fee as well?

Changing destinations would result in reticketing and new rates.

Blah. Thought so.

Don't mind paying if I have to, just trying to get to LA before Shabbos.

Next idea. Would AA check baggage through if I booked the SFO-LAX flight as a revenue ticket?

Currently landing in SF at 1:53p and Shabbos starts at 7:17p in LA that week. The flight I need (landing in LA at 4:07p) is not available for award booking.
The next flight for award booking available gets into LA at 5:32p, which is cutting it just a wee bit close.

If not, we can always have someone pick up our bags in SF and just take any flight with a decent connection (check-in online and have mobile boarding pass).

Flight is 2 months away, so there's still time for something better to open up..

Seems like official policy is they would.

I booked the third flight months ago, pre-deval, and I just noticed this status on the website.  Do I need to PUTAC?  The weird thing is all three flights segments show as "ticketed" on the mobile app, and I received an email confirmation when I booked.

I would. Could be a flight time change caused a misconnect.

Close.  Flight number change on the last segment.  They're taking care of it.

Man, this thread has died down since (i) the deval, and (ii) Parker has gotten a hold of revenue management.

Any idea if TLV-AMM-AUH-LHR is valid for a single award fare?

I know this question isn't necessarily specific to this thread but I am specifically referring to RJ & EY:

If by booking F TLV-AMM-AUH-LHR, I am entitled to 3 suitcases on EY F, does that mean I can check in 3 suitcases even though I am flying J on RJ (TLV-AMM) which technically only allows for 2 suitcases?

ETA: Never mind. EY only allows 2 in F

EY flight had a schedule change of 40 min. Is that enough to be able to cancel flight with no charge, if need to be ?

Best way to snatch a business saver. AA metal
Currently there are at least 7 seats avail.
1. wait it out, pray that saver open before the flight (its in a week).
2. Buy a seat, refundable, and cancel the day of the flight.
3. Any other ideas?
